The Jews in America, 1923

The author, Burton Jesse Hendrick, was a Connecticut native, a Yale graduate, mentioned the publication of this book in World's Work, a business-oriented monthly magazine which was published until 1932. Hendrick actually worked at the magazine for some years as an associate editor. He can hardly be accused of anti-semitism, and he had even ghost-written the biography of Jewish lawyer and diplomat, Henry Morgenthau in 1918, several years before writing this book.

Some years ago, our friend Jerel Mosley had provided us with a reproduction of Chapter 3 of this book, as it was published in World's Work. But some of the files have been corrupted over time, so I cannot justly reproduce them here. Therefore I searched and found this copy at archive.org. This book seems to reflect an objective assessment of Jewry from the perspective of a Yankee businessman, but it is not hostile to Jewry nor is the author aware of the motivations of its rabbis or their true feelings concerning non-Jews and especially their eternal hatred for Christians.
